Hilary Lewis has been appointed development officer for the Desert Research Institute in southern Nevada. Lewis' activities with the DRI Research Foundation will be dedicated to expanding the Institute's fundraising programs and raising its community profile.

Lewis previously served as a legislative consultant in the Nevada State Health Division and for the Secretary of State's office. She has also worked in Washington, D.C. for members of the Nevada and Wisconsin congressional delegations. A resident of Henderson, she holds a bachelor's degree in international affairs from the University of Nevada, Reno and is working toward a master's degree in public administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
