
The Desert Research Institute and the Nevada State Energy Office are hosting the second annual International Fuel Cell Conference October 27-29, 1999 at the Granlibakken Conference Center, Tahoe City, California. The conference will bring together leaders from the private sector, government, and academia to explore the potential for commercialization of this exciting energy technology. Fuel cells-which produce electricity from a combined chemical reaction-stand on the brink of a broad range of applications worldwide.
Conference sessions will explore the interplay between producers and consumers in a traditional marketplace as well as technical advancements. Key issues to be addressed include education and outreach, codes and standards, policy, and technology development. The registration fee is $200 prior to August 1; $300 after August 1.
