On September 30th, nearly 200 friends of the Desert Research Institute attended the grand opening of the Institutešs newest addition to its northern Nevada campus.

Guided and self-guided tours were available, and congratulatory remarks were extended from the staffs of U.S. Senators Harry Reid and Richard Bryan, Congressional Representatives Jim Gibbons and Shelly Berkley, and by Nevada State Senator William Raggio, and Dr. Jill Derby, chair of the Board of Regents of the University and Community College System of Nevada.

One of the highlights of the festivities was the unveiling of the donor wall acknowledging the supporters who helped make the building a reality. President Stephen G. Wells, the faculty, and the staff of DRI would like to thank the following foundations, corporations, and individuals:
